Greetings ladies and gentlemen in fur , feathers, scales and other appearences of their choice^^
Here we go with 2020. Happy new year to everyone and here we also go with my first pic for the new year.
Originally this pic was meant to be posted on last autumn time since the topic would be more fitting at such a time, but oh well^^
Furthermore the original idea involved Fafnir in bindings and forced to act as a toy dragon. There had been a short comic idea in my mind that Fafnir would be the pet of a fox-witch. The two were out on a walk, with Fafnir being bound muzzled and leashed and very obedient. The two wittnessed some kids playing with toy dragons. Suddenly a strong wind carried away their toy and it got crushed in the branches of a tree. The witch couldn´t see their sad faces, so she lend them her dragon instead. Hehe, you probably could imagine, how happy those kids must have been to have such a huge dragon to rise up in the windy skies. It was out of question that Fafnir found this very humiliating, but everyone thought him to be adorable in this role.

oh he will be allright. The collar is not that tight, there is enough space bedween the collar and the scales of his neck, so it is not a noose, it only holds him in place, as well as the rope attached to his beld to keep him in balance. But it is a little difficult to glide like this with both hands tied on the back, the back musculature for the wings need to be spread a little bit more then usual (damn anatomy^^)

I wonder perhaps if the dragon wasn't an innocent victim but perhaps had been terrorising a village for a while demanding tribute in gold and silver coins, regular sheep and the occasional cow to satiate his hunger and harassing young maidens. A knight or other heroic adventuring type eventually came along and the dragon was defeated after a fierce battle but was shown mercy and his life if not his dignity spared. Now this is his punishment, a long sentence of community service for the village he once terrorised and bringing delight and amusement to the children whom once feared him is just the beginning though one day when he's repaid his debts to society he will have his freedom again unless the children successfully plead to be allowed to keep him as a pet.
That's called the "Butterfly Effect", but that's speaking of a consequence that effects the future outcome! Similar to Newton's Law of Motion.
I think its still funny to trip over something so tiny, but very embarrassing. Like at tiny pebble completely makes someone fall flat on their face.

While humiliating for this dragon, i can imagine trying to give that dragon a hug at just the wrong moment, ending up clinging to his tail as the wind carries both of us into the air.
Nicely drawn though, i'm kind of jealous since i haven't had the time to practice enough to do better than stick figures myself.

Not just for the ones on the ground either... it's a good thing i'm not afraid of heigts or flying, even though i might be a bit worried about the rope snapping though in that situation... lets just hope that the wind doesn't get close to the strength of a hurricane.

Haaa poor Fafnir, still fall in the most embarassing situations X3.... but I must admit this piece is fun to see hehe also as people said it's good for Fafnir's reputation, now all childrens will want play with him... so be strong my friend and just endure it a bit more ut's for your great ;3....

Well a strong draggy can't fail in a strenght-challenge so I'm sure he'll be (and it's not like he have the choice, also he is lucky the child haven't tied him up on a tree and tickle his big draggy feet ;3)
