Certainly helps knowing what is going on. Whether if it is the best words is debatable. "Join clan Daryil? ...what's the catch?" might be more on point, and also lays into the mayor's ignorance (assuming he is, and not just paranoid) about full cubi culture and whether if they can invite non-cubi into their clan.
Also, I'm sorry for rambling. One of my unpaid jobs at the moment is coscripting for a fellow writer. So It's kinda over honed me to look at things in an even more analytical light than over analysis I did before that landed me the job.
