But seriously, The Magicians is one of my favorite shows. It's portrayal of magic in a more realistic way (as in, most of the time it makes things worse) is kind of unique in other fantasy shows, and the constant struggle of it between the characters is on point. From god-slaying, epic-key quests to a rendition of a Les Miserables before a dual between kings (no really)....to interesting concepts such as experiencing a full life before starting over or an episode coming from the perspective of a deaf character...to seeing what happens when magic disappears, and the desperation and need to make it return...The Magicians has so much to offer.
Season 4 ended with a bang due to the loss of one of the prominent characters, essentially in a permanent-way given how things work in the verse....though there are different realities and such but...well...it was still a shocker.
Season 5 hopes to be even more of a blow out. Suddenly there's TOO MUCH magic all over the place, some characters are thrown hundreds of years in the future, and one of them becomes leader of the (former?) magic-taking organization.
The characters are great, the concept is awesome, it's believable, and dang is it entertaining and weird. Gotta love this show!
Though, I have to say, in it's fictional world...let's face it, it is, there's no actual magic on Earth for humans, sorry...in The Magicians...it's gotta suck to be someone like me.

Yeah, that is weird...how would you eat if everything goes somewhere else?
I know....and I'm glad I buried that damn Librarian that tried shoving a book in my mouth....

Yeah, I SO dislike that. Wyrm is like a slur when I hear it. Kind of indignant to have one of my kind being a literal book devouror just to send things to a different branch ugh....
