The minotaur, once common in the days of antiquity, have become increasingly rare. Once there was a time when you might have found entire clans of the gigantic creatures roaming the countrysides near what is now Meridiana and the Populi Imperium, living a nomadic lifestyle that often brought them into conflict with the still-flourishing great civilizations of those times.
Now you would be hard-pressed to find any unless you were to go searching for them. There are myths of a handful existing upon the island of Ageláda, though due to how hard it is to find the island, or even confirm its existence, none know for sure whether there is truth to this claim. Fact or not, their rumored presence on the island and within its infamous labyrinth is likely for the continued association between mythic beast and even more mythic maze, leading to even more tall tales to grow around particularly labyrinthine fortresses and dungeons. Were you to ask the wrong people, you would certainly be lead to believe that even your local sewers might be inhabited by a dozen of these minotaurs.
Whether their increasing rarity is tied into their supposed connection with dragon's blood, which is now not only proscribed in most realms but incredibly hard to find, is only further conjecture until such a connection can be proven.
More silly Inktober stuff. Ended up making all of these waaaaaay too complicated and thus didn't really meet the requirements of the challenge, but oh well. I had fun.
