Her outfit is using something called ‘Soft Clothing’ (an idea I stumbled across in one of the ‘Red Dwarf’ books). The concept is the outfit is just a projection (In this case from the necklace and bracelet) of light and force fields. This has a few advantages over more traditional clothing:
- Lighter
- More comfortable
- Cooler

The major advantage is the outfit is infinitely customisable via a computer interface in the bracelet (Colour, style, cut), also since the outfit is just a projection there is no danger of the occupant of ‘falling out’ of it (no matter how little there is of it.)
