My Xeiun Igailyf character once had a symbiot named Auhmn (the reason behind his one red eye). Auhmn gave Xei the powers of teleportation and fire breath and slightly increased his already epic, dense world strength to Project A-ko proportions. The downside is it brought out his Id and made him evil, driving the point home by spontaneously devolving him into the progenitor of the Ketphanu (Fox type Mritzian) race.

Eventually Xei became the only known individual to purge Auhmn from his body without dying, through the many bizarre antics that took place in Pebble Beach on a daily basis. He got to keep the powers without the evil tendancies, and he gained the ability to become Xeidon at will. Ro-Q however (the purple collar around Xeidons neck which allows him to speak) remained kinda nasty because of the symbiots subtle influence on its personality. I think the only robot that hates humans more is Bender from Futurama :3
