This is a love story.
Several years back, Richard (Treerat) Thatcher, Carole and I went to the Memphis Zoo.
There is a secretary bird there named Lily.
She fell in love with Richard.
When she first saw him, she stalked back and forth across her pen, watching him.
Then she brought him a dead mouse, to show him she would be a good provider.
We talked to one of the docents there, who told us her name. They said she really liked men. And we told them she brought Richard a dead mouse they said "She must REALLY like you!"
The next year we took their picture together. And each year they visit.
Maybe it's the blue uniform, it's the same color as her feathers.
And while I type this, I am playing TRUE LOVE WAYS by Buddy Holly in the background.
"And you know why...just you and I...true love ways."

.....funny....but i am not supprised.....it even happened to me with many kindz if creaturez.....
...maybe it'z the scent they taste or something even deeper no-one "can" understand...but just how we like what "we" like, so can they....
...thinking back on that child that fell into the apes cage....and i know there are many other doccumented accounts of even stranger thingz.....
....none the less.....it'z truly a smile to know that you are wanted.....no matter how it comez....
....really....it iz easy to show it......love just happenz.....tell it to the one you stare at and see what happenz......i am sure they will smile too....
