What we have here is a beautifully rendered map done by none other than
Geier of my character Merovech's home of Mortain, located within the swamps of southwestern Mousillon. It is a prosperous place by the standards of Mousillon, and while the population of the place only hovers around 25 in the best of years, it's denizens eek out the best existence that they are able to.
I am truly thankful for this wonderful piece of artwork, and I hope to get more from Geier in the near future for all to enjoy.

There's not really irrigation more so that things are just naturally waterlogged. As far as floods? Kind of a part of life really. It's not like they have any real choice. Where this village is located within the Warhammer Fantasy world, within Mousillon, is so rife with disease and the undead that the poor Peasants of Mortain are likely less concerned with being a bit wet.
Thanks so much for the Favorite and the comment though!

It was actually my inspiration for using the name, namely that and Richard the First's half-brother was Count of Mortain who went on to be granted rights over Launcheston (another place dear to me for different reasons). Plus 'Mortain' just has that nice strange seemingly sickly/sinister sound to it if uttered correctly, perfect for a small swamp holding~
