Haniwa Phantom Goura was the monster of the week on Ep.12 of the Kotetsu Jeeg series: like most of the Phantoms, it was humanoid, colored brown on the head, neck, torso and pelvis, with mostly grey arms and legs, with black feet, and had light green diamond shape eyes with blackout lines. Grey and blue pads adorn the torso and knee pads. Its primary weapon was a dual bladed scythe with two spikes at the bottom, which release an even longer spike, as well it had both considerable strength and long jump capabilities.

The episode starts with Hiroshi been a DOUCHE extraordinaire by slapping his little sister Mayumi when he finds her playing with his gloves. Discovering immediately these were NOT the source of his Jeeg Powers. Realizing the secret of his power must come from him, demanding answers from his father, the later remaining silent.

At the Jamatai Kingdom, Himika calls Amaso and the new Phantom, Goura, to attack the Build Base: Amaso heads to the city where he creates an illusion of Goura, which causes a report, though the Base is not aware of the intentions as investigations of the buildings failed to show signs of Magnetism. Later the beast appears in the city and Hiroshi rides to confront it, only to be captured by Amaso and his corps and taken to the Orochi fortress, Miwa tries to save him but is stopped by the Chief, the latter informing her his captured was part of the plan to uncover their plans.

"Not a dumb plan at all!!" as I cough in facepalming sarcasm.

The Beast arrives to attack and the Build Base unleashes Hoovering Mines as protection, though these fail and some are tossed back by Goura blowing up close on impact. Both the Big Shooter and the MechaDon failed to stop it. At the Orochi, Himika tells Amaso to stop obsessing about Hiroshi and have him executed immediately. Hiroshi entices Amaso with the whereabouts of the Chrysalis, allowing the opportunity to escape. While hiding, his father finally makes contact informing of the situation, and Hiroshi demands the answers to the many questions plaguing his mind, but is told to hurry, as Mayumi is in the Base. Hiroshi makes it to the Boiler Room causing an Explosion and escaping back to Base, assembling Jeeg to confront Goura.

Jeeg kicks the beast, but Goura wounds it with its weapon. The Mecha then fires Knuckle Bombers, ripping off its left arm and lower leg. Jeeg captures and attracts Goura with Magnetic Power and finishes off with Jeeg Breaker, destroying the Phantom. After the battle, and with Mayumi at home safe, Hiroshi is left wondering when will his father ever tell the truth.
