Nightlight is an overpowered unicorn, yet she has her own special needs. She has Unicorn Syndrome, and she is often shy about meeting new people. Her big brother, White Night, is one of few who know how to connect with her.
Unicorn Syndrome is similar to Asperger’s Syndrome. A notable portion of gifted ponies have this trait. Nightlight is shy about sharing hugs. Hugs tend to feel mushy to her. Her brother, on the other hand, makes her feel safe and warm.
Nightlight is great at math, science, and casting “spells”. But it’s been taking a long time for her to appreciate the importance of friendship. White Night has been teaching her that the world was created for friendship. He has taught her that friendship is the meaning of life — starting with loving and trusting our Creator.
White Night was born with a natural charm and a natural love for others’ company. Back when he was little, his natural charm helped him get to know a member of the royal family. From there, he and Nightlight have been practically adopted into the family.
Princess Skysparkle is the main ruler of the Starpony Kingdom. She is sending Nightlight on a mission to make friends with a small village. Nightlight was born into great wealth, but now she is to live as a normal girl. Jesus lived on earth as a common man, and Skysparkle wants Nightlight to go through some of the same struggle. She envisions her student becoming a ruler someday, and she wants one who can directly relate to the common person.
As Nightlight continues to grow, she demonstrates that Unicorn Syndrome does not have to be her limiting factor. With the right attitude, anyone can learn to enjoy others’ company. With these advantages, Unicorn Syndrome doesn’t have to be a handicap. Instead — it can be a different vantage point for understanding the world of friendship.

Visual Description:
Nightlight is a lightish purplish pink unicorn with bright purplish pink hooves. She has darkish pinkish magenta hair with a dark stripe and a golden yellow stripe.
Nightlight's hair is straight, but it is fairly messy. It extends near the tops of her forelegs. She wears dark violet glasses with half-circle frames. She has darkish purplish violet eyes.
The mark on Nightlight's flank is the following:
A tall eight-point star that stands for the North Star; beside it are seven five-point stars that make the Big Dipper. The tall eight-point star is a bright reddish hot pink. The eight-point star is made of two perpendicular crosses -- a tall one and a square one. To the upper right half is a triangle of light golden yellow hearts. The seven stars of the Big Dipper are white.

NOTE: In my work, the “magic” is really the relics of extremely advanced technology. “Spells” are often known as “programs” and “scripts”. Moreover, my characters are fully clothed, wearing fursuits over at least their torsos and thighs.

It is really starting to feel like the story is starting to go from Concept to Storyboarding. This ref, along with the one prior, helps to give a nice understanding of those characters, I'd surmise, will be a part of the premiere chapter / episode. We'd likely see a lot of the nuances, like how their coats would need washed, exposition of White Night's relations that got him and his sister to be a part of the ruling family, some talk on religion and how it plays a large part in friendship uniting all 'The Creator's' creatures.
I definitely have my imagination seeing a lot more now than I've ever had before. It is also neat to see you getting some commission work to help to show everyone how the characters look. :)
