The one true ribbon fairy; the one who was once just but a ribbon herself.
1) So cute, so innocent, just so unbelievably alluring!!! This is how they claim their victims… They will do tricks, they will dance, they will twist, twirl, spin, flip and even roll over to get your attention. Once you are totally enticed to bend over to pet them or even pick them up it is much, much too late.
2) In one swift motion they will stand straight up and from eight otherwise unseen slits on their torso will explode eight multi-colored ribbons; it is now that you realize that those two, oh so cute, antennae were actually in fact ball gags. (Note: They can release one ribbon at a time but as the ribbon fairy philosophy goes; “Why would you??”) You then notice something else… “Did those ribbons have faces???” Yes, yes they did. You see, the ribbons that these fairies send out are completely sentient, as they are, more or less, their children (Even if they view them more as minions).
3) Once released these ribbons will twist, twine and knot themselves around their “parents” victim. They also have the ability to grow and elongate themselves according to the size of the victim. From there they will sit and wait for the victim to be released in some form or another. This is what will ultimately decide their fate. If they are cut, they will shrivel and their color will fade tremendously. If they are simply unraveled and stuck in a dark drawer they will forever loose their sentient nature but will have the possibility to live on in the form of a craft project. However, if they are unraveled and thrown outside into a dumpster and allowed a bit of sunlight, they will wrap themselves up into a type of cocoon phase and then two weeks later they will emerge as a brand new baby ribbon fairy! (It takes approx three to four months for a baby to fully mature)
General: Ribbon fairies can grow up to a length of five to seven inches from the top of the head to the tip of the tail. They will forever remain the same color as when they were first released as a ribbon but their eyes, ear fluff, and ball gags will be the color of their parents. Also, the color of their wings are the same color and sequence as the ribbons they produce. Ribbons can be any color/ pattern and vary from fairy to fairy.
And now for the age old question… which came first; the ribbon or the fairy? Some say the fairy came first when a wizards experiment to create a beast capable of tightening corsets pain free went horribly wrong. Others say that the ribbon came first when the favorite ribbon of a tailor with a bit of a “naughty” streak fell into a vat of tainted dye… The fact is, no one really knows for sure, but that won’t stop the masses from speculating.
