Melissa was still not certain why Prophets and gods and legendary mazes should have anything to do with her, she was just a gardener. Still, apparently a gardener was what the gods wanted, and saving the earth was a cause she could get behind, so she set off into the Labyrinth of Shadows, where she would find a great many strange, interesting, and downright bizarre things.
Another little story piece. Major inspirations for this tale include the art and stories of Ursula Vernon, the movie Labyrinth, the Alice in Wonderland books, and my own tiny garden. :)
