Many different birds have called the local trees surrounding the Mundelein Depot home. Red-winged blackbirds and finches can be commonly seen near the station. A third bird is a common one: the Cardinal. Here, we see one resting on a sign that alerts travelerss of the one train that does arrive on Platform 2.
