 graphographer helped me make a little joke...

Because basically i realized i was making myself a bit of an ass here with you guys.

Yeah, the story is heavy, and everything...

But hammering it down like i was doing on the heads of the commentators was... a dick move on my part.

(euphemism of the day)

And since... let's face it... the story is about mental health, coping with one's mistakes, and the poor Philomela is basically the unknowing victim of this whole situation...

...have one of the characters use a famous song from my early teens...

...when apparently admitting mistakes or showing weakness was for idiots and it's obviously always the lady's fault for tempting and/or making a perfect and manly man do mistakes...

...with the lyrics aptly changed to show the reality of the situation. 😂🤣😂🤣😂👍💖

Though, honestly, it's not really Bon Jovi's fault for how this song stuck in my memory with its implications... but it's "the fandom" that applied this specific song where it should not have been applied (a.k.a. "everywhere because of complete context deafness" as opposed to "when it actually applies"). And given "the fandom" i knew in my early teens were... uh... teenagers making love mistakes... "obviously" it was "always the girl's fault" and this song got thrown around a lot making me facepalm so hard that now whenever this song gets mentioned the first thing i think is "yeah, let me guess... she totally misunderstands you on purpose... and it's her fault"</sarcasm>.

Sooo by being context deaf myself a few times too many, have this specific character sing his song of woe.

Note: i can't really say this specific character is a self-insert of myself... because honestly... all my characters are self inserts... just pieces and fragments and facets of myself. When people say "write what you know" to me it just means i use a facet of myself as a basis to see what somebody else would do or act like in those situations. So from Philomela, to Wayne, to... everybody else in all of my comics... they are all... "me".
