Again, good story. It has the same "follow your dreams" trait, but done in a different way. Instead of a dream, it's a "making me whole" storyline, where the character feels alone, but finds something that makes him whole. The story of the cousin is a good second story and explains more of his relationship with his adopted son. This story can make you feel like the character, since everybody has at least seen a street kid and wanted to help him, but they couldn't or didn't want to. But for those who indeed help those street kids, by either adopting or giving them a home, it's a relatable story that will make you cry of hope.
It has just one slight error. The "abandoned by abusive parents" cliché. It's an common cliché to have in these types of stories, and it makes the story seem a bit uninspired. But this detail is not overused, which makes the story more focused on the father-son relationship rather than the abusive parents cliché.
I give this story a 8/10.
