Vegetable... Plant people. How intriguing. I like all the subtle, humorous little details you put into this image too. The nice looking "Tomato" to the left, Bealix's carrot carrier and the lonely, "Garlic" (Leek?) Lass to the right. There's even suggestion that the viewer in it's self can get in on the act as the reflection in the window behind Bealix.
I am glad if you appreciate the details though I had not considered that the right and left figures resembled vegetables in any way! That is simply how I draw "normal" people when I have no need for them to look a certain way! But they so seldom get into this gallery I can see how that does not come across and I perhaps should pay more attention to that in the future! The carrot though is deliberate and was a staple of older bixtures and I simply forgot or did not think to include it for several years. I am often not thinking when drawing!
Interesting! Do you practice "Zen" Drawing? I yearn to be able to just "Get in the zone" and let my mind run free and draw amazing things on the paper like I used to. Do your ideas come in "Layers" which I mean is, say like you doodle, a cute duck, then the drawing "Tells" you to put the duck on a pond, then the next thing you know, a whole scene grows from that simple doodle? I used to work that way. I haven't been able to "Zone out" in a long time.
it depends on what my goal is! I rarely have real ideas these days for static pictures since most of my thinking goes into comic strips and cartoons that I can never finish.
this picture sort of counts as an idea, but I did not plan how the side figures would look. I presumed it would be in a subway train but I had to look up what kinds there were which would suit this sort of character placement since many would not!
https://twitter.com/Bimshwel/status.....93568749568003 on "cholesteronslaught" I started with a doughnut (though the pencil sketch I cannot find the scan of) but initially was not certain I should continue with a doughnut.
https://www.furaffinity.net/view/36024708/ something like this is more common (or would be were I not drawing for other people so often these days): a few stupid looking creatures that have nothing to do with each other are years later scanned from a sketchbook page and colored in while a minimally thought-out background is constructed behind them.
I have not drawn on paper regularly for quite some time. I did have a greater amount of ideas when I did! I can only do it sporadically now and only get dopey characters with no purpose.
