Sure thing it's a furry-themed site, but I sometimes make a non-furry art too. Such as this weapon here. And some of my watchers may be interested in this kind of things, so I figured I should put this notification in my scraps, for them to see.
Before anything else, the design itself is not mine. I'm not good at actual designing weapons myself, I just model them. So the blueprint comes from http://fav.me/ddr3ayy
I'm on good terms with this very talented designer and he kindly allows me to use his works as a basis of 3D models.
The hi-res, 6MB version of this image is on DeviantArt: http://fav.me/ddxcgi1

Actually, with cylinders that long, you could probably get away with a .444 Marlin or a .45-70... :D

Thanks for info! I'm not really knowledgeable with different ammo types (for obvious reasons of living in a practically gun-less society, to the point where certain handgun design made for the army anecdotally turned out to be a total failure, having been designed by engineers with near-zero practical experience on the topic).
There are certain geometrical relationships that I must keep in these, after all, 3D projects, and indeed after sizing everything together, it did occur to me that the cylinder is kinda long for .357?... But I didn't know what to do about it.

Great to know! Out of curiosity, does it matter much that the ammo would be shorter than the cylinder, aside from the most obvious fact of wasted space? Would it affect the ballistics in any particular way?
The .44 mag was mentioned as an alternative, and if what I can see on Google is correct, that one would be even shorter.
