**Giggles!**
Decades ago when I was starting out in school at Fredrica Academy, I started to learn I had a love and some talent in doing art. When the art teacher saw that I was using all of my fingers to "finger-paint" with, she asked me if I had used brushes. I told her that I did and that my grandmother had given me a set a year or so back to try out ... they were some extras that she had and didn't use much any more. Seeing my talent and hearing about my family's artistic nature, she started me on to water colors and even some other paints. I did ok I suppose ... oh, nothing like the greats, mind, but she said that I had some talent. My Grandmother, Gee, had been a scene painter for a good long while and had tried to get me interested in doing things like beachscapes and other naturalistic scenery, the lighthouse on St. Simons Island, even the school. Honestly, I found myself drawn to space ships, space scenery, and other fantastical things ... nothing that my family understood. Mom often flintched, but Pop would often say and encourage me to keep on doing what I did ...
Honestly, I never thought of myself as a good painter, though I love the intense colors. Water colors are perhaps one of the hardest of medias out there in my opinion with inks and pencils being the easiest. I have done animation cells, the classic paints on the plastic sheets and have found them to be an art of their own. And I still have a lot of respect for the effort.
Taffy is highly artistic, to a level of a mad genius ... something that was fostered by her mother and grandmother, just like me. Often in RP, she paints, but when needed by the party of adventurers, Taffy can draw just about anything. Her sketches work almost as good as photographs, jus as you might need in high adventures or murder mysteries. :)
Another YCH commission, this time done by my new and good friend, the super-talented
miwwa ... something I just love seeing Taffy do.
