My initial intent to this list was to make clear what the displayed dictum could also stand for.

I know "GOD" is usually listed last, but the truth is "GOD" represents humanity's knowledge and appreciation of the world around them. If they are to earn "GOLD" and "GLORY", then they should learn about "GOD" first. Once you know and apply all you can, everything else falls into place for you. Makes more logical sense to me.


And now, after the news about Christopher Columbus statues being dismantled/desecrated all across America, I thought of the old trinity that drove European colonists to migrate and... violently displace the Indigenous Population.

I mean, what other words can we replace with "GOD, GOLD, AND GLORY" that's... not implosive? Something that's fruitful and generative instead?
