As rare as I draw Owls, this one I felt absolutely had to be done. Because this was a gift for a very good friend - one who's been going through some rough and tricky times lately, and so, I thought I would surprise them with this piece! A Barred Owl! :)

Oooh that's so cool!
I find owls super difficult to draw, you really did a great job on this one! Their round faces always proved very difficult to me!
I love all the colors and details on the feathers here as well! You really got a nack for it!
And the background is nice too, so calm, I like it!

Aww, thank you so much! :D I think that's the greatest challenge I face with Owls, the front-view perspective! I generally find that tricky with any bird in general, haha!
This was a super fun project to work on though, and another important gift, so! I really wanted to get it right! :)
