Looks like the Telvanni magister decided to get Onyx's attention after all. Though he is evasive about who he is and where he comes from, she did learn his name and his business for being in her father's town. He's only staying the day, intending to leave the next morning going south then west towards Mournhold to explore the capital.
She warns him however that the roads are not safe, regardless of time of day and many hostile creatures native to Morrowind roam around preying, with attacks becoming more and more frequent as some of the Blight-afflicted creatures somehow made their way over from Vvardenfell. In addition to the hostile creatures, bandits and slavers constantly roam the hills and plains looking for easy marks and despite the best efforts of the Great Houses and the Imperial Legion, have remained a problem for many years and will likely still be a problem for years to come.
As they talk, it's clear to her that Onyx is no Argonian, or at least, no Argonian she has ever seen and is constantly surprised when he speaks, she hears a voice not too dissimilar from the Imperial envoys that visit her father from time to time, rather than the guttural rasps of the Argonians she is used to seeing.
She offers to take Onyx back to her father's tower and provide some books and potions that will likely help him in his journey, to which he graciously accepts. She also hopes to know more about this strange lizard and see what he can do with magic and alchemy.
During the short trek to her father's tower, she noticed that Onyx kept giving strange looks to her Guar mount. There is a hint of curiosity and fascination in his eyes. Clearly, he's never seen one before. After explaining what the creature is and the purposes the Dunmer use them for, she lets Onyx to examine the Guar more closely and to pet it. As he does so, it seems the Guar has taken a liking to Onyx and gives him slobbery kiss on his face, much to his surprise. His combination of surprise and disgust at the wet kiss amuses her greatly and she can't help but giggle at it.

A follow-up to https://www.furaffinity.net/view/35114469/ starting Onyx's journey in Morrowind, the homeland of Tamriel's Dark Elves. Onyx's fascination with the Guar matches my own. When I first saw them when playing Morrowind a long time ago, I was fascinated by this strange looking creature. With the exception of the occasional wild ones, Guars are peaceful creatures, which is a stark contrast to most creatures in Morrowind. Unintelligent, but strong, they are used by the Dark Elves for transportation of cargo and as mounts.

Oh I still laugh at the janky animations that happen from time to time and I still have a intense dislike for Cliff Racers that has not died down over the years. If you haven't, try the Tamrial Rebuilt mod. It opens up the rest of Morrowind and allows you to see areas controlled by House Indoril and House Dres.
