Another bad mood/art block buster drawing from 2016. I know there was some interest (on DA at least) when I would draw buildings and scenery and other world-building stuff like this, and some people have actually asked me to draw scenery from my various worlds in the past.
Here's Jack, outside of his family's hut. This sort of mud and clay hut with a thatched roof is the typical family dwelling of the hyenas of Geoterra. Such buildings dot the savanna, making up small villages. The inside is one large round room with a fireplace in the center, and the floor scattered with sleeping mats and other simple comforts.
Pots and jugs are frequently left outside to collect rainwater. Wood, being fairly uncommon, is reserved for important structural elements like the roof supports and doors while very common materials are used to make up the rest of the structure-long savanna grass makes decent thatch that is easily replaced if needed, and the thick mud and clay walls are excellent at keeping the interior a relatively constant temperature.
