So Reconna inherited a lot of mommy's fur pattern, also eyes and hair. Luna was shocked to see she was holding almost a Lil her in her arms. Reconna's stripes (aka nano-machines) are a different color Luna already had the perfect name for her.
So one of their closes friends and considered a Brother Reco passed, they wanted to honor him. So they named her "Reconna" short for "Reconnaissance" since "Reco" was short for "Recon".
