Call it what you like...Tuna helper, tuna casserole, Tuna bake or "Snarfle" this is one yummalicious all in the pot kind of meal with a multitude of variations. This cheerful cheesey cuisine is from the kitchens of arisuvixen

well my room mate calls it home made tuna helper, I call it tuna and noodle casserole. or as it will be known among little tales goers. "snarfle"
yeah this is the one. pardon the mess on the stove. but I finally got a good picture of it. this one with a melted cheddar cheese on top. so the possibilities from there are endless.
Recipe is in my latest journal I wanted an upload for FACC(C?) so here's one of my favorite dishes i can actually make reliably.
1 lb macaroni noodles
3 cans of tuna (In water preferably)
1 can french green beans
1 large can of cream of chicken, or mushroom soup.
boil the noodles to how you like them aldente or otherwise. follow the package instructions.
drain then return to the pot. open all the cans, drain the tuna and the beans. and throw it all inside with the noodles, gently sir to combine so you don't break any noodles.
add to a casserole dish deep and wide enough to hold the whole mixture, top with cheese and bake it to marry the flavors 350 for approx 10 minutes works for me (partially because i usually can wait to dig into it! may take a bit longer depending on your oven and the type of dish though)
Variants there of, instead of tuna. you could possibly add canned or fresh cooked and shredded chicken. (always a plus to use fresh and local ingredients.) Season the mixture however you please while combining the ingredients in the pot (personal favorites being garlic and a coarse ground black pepper, sometimes a chili powder) or top it with your choice of shredded cheese (I use cheddar. but my friends want me to add pepper jack next time) or topping with cheese and either bacon bits, or bread crumbs.

* From Chris - the best way to prevent the pasta from drying out is to at least add 1 - 2 tablespoons
of the pasta water into the dish, and then cover the casserole with tin foil, which will keep the steam in.
