Spent some time looking up the symptoms. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find any case of a cancer that would have a growth begin to happen in that one location only. There are a few rare diseases that would cause similar growths all over the body, but that would be without any sense of order. This is practically a growing tail and the only condition that can cause this are the transformative serums.
While I was looking this up I ended up finding out that there is an activist group that’s been in the area. They are constantly protesting peacefully about how humans need to pay nature back for all of the atrocities that it has committed in the past and present. And they have on occasion been caught trying to push people into using this kind of serum.
Not wanting to see me stress out on such a nice Saturday, Sam was a dear and took me to the movies to distract me. Even let me get to pick the movie and didn’t complain the slightest bit or pressure me in any way. It’s so nice to have someone that will be there for you when things are so stressful.

"Peacefully protesting" and "pushing transformative serums on people" do not mesh together - they grind. Pushing people into using the serums is biological terrorism, pure and simple. Jail 'em if they are caught doing so, and dispose of the contaminated material - don't put it out where a blood donor can ingest it!
