and about the whole gay pride thing, I always wondered what was to be so proud of by being gay. It's just a sexual preference. Why not the caucasian pride or the architect pride then? We should find a better term.

Remember when everyone was really up in arms about the gay marrage thing? Well, there was an article in the paper where there were protestors in Mass. and one of the religious ones had a sign that said God Abhors You... so I thought I would change it... as for finding another word, I kind of agree with you, you just should not be afraid of who you are... but I think everyone should also take pride in who they are...

The reason for "gay pride" is because of the culture of repression that tells us that queer folks should feel bad about who they are and should hide it. Gay pride is a reaction to this.

That is why there is no "straight pride" or "caucasian pride," etc.

I agree with you on the pride thing. I mean hell I'm gay and its not that bigga deal to me realy -shrugs-
