Calvin's Beach Day
With Summer nearing a close, it seems only right to take some time to enjoy the beach, and to take your genie with you for some fun in the sun! Calvin doesn't get to go to the beach very much, since I rarely get to, but I had to treat him to a day out in celebration of this semester of classes coming to a close. Naturally, he's rather bloated on magic, but gets around like a pro! He might be causing a bit of a spectacle, but honestly, I don't think I could blame anybody for looking at that big belly, and that sunny disposition. XD
Phew...this was nine days in the making, I have to admit. I'm really proud of how it turned out, even if I still have a lot to learn, and I couldn't resist drawing my favorite bobcat. He even got a mild redesign, in the form of altered colors, and some extra stripes to spruce up the sides of his head. For my first proper attempt at drawing him, I'm really pleased with how my kitty turned out. ;w;

D'aww, shucks; thank you very much! I had a lot of fun working on this, honestly, so even though it dragged on a while, I had a ball; but then the ocean came back to view. XD The only part I didn't have fun with, but I'll get better at it I'm sure.

Yeah, I haven't been getting art of him for a while, and it's a crime, since he's such a cutie! I definitely need to remedy that, starting with making a ref for him. XD
And yeah, that magic energy definitely rounds him out! It makes for a rather swell time, at least in my book. X//P

Oh yeah, I remember that little detail about him! Calvin’s constantly got magic energy building and storing inside his belly, so granting wishes helps to dispense some of it but it can make him bloat up steadily if no wishes are made. But hey, makes for a very lovely time to hug and rub that tummy, especially feeling it slowly balloon up over time~ <3
