The truth is, this computer took me quite a while to build. Some of the parts that i'm using were actually released in 2008, but i only had the chance to have it all put together only recently. The reason for the long delay? Well, mostly because Intel processor systems are expensive to work with.
Still, i did learn quite a number of things experimenting with this set up, such as overclocking and some new things that i didn't realize before. Now that i have a much clearer idea on what to do for system builds, the next one i pick is probably going to be much cheaper. Probably an AMD system :P
For anyone who's interested, here's a run down on my system specs:
CPU: Intel Core2 Q9650 3.6ghz (400 x 9); CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Plus
Mobo: EVGA Nforce 780i SLI Motherboard; P09, FSB 1600
GFX: XFX GTX 260
RAM: 4 x 2Gb OCZ Gold PC2-6400 @ 800mhz 5-5-5-15/2T
HD: 2 x 1TB Western Digital Caviar Black (No Raid)
Sound: Creative Soundblaster X-FI Extreme Audio 7.1
Others: D-Link PCI-E Wireless Desktop Adapter
PSU: Aerocool V12-700 (700W PSU)
Case: CoolerMaster 690 II Plus
OS: Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit
Also, special shout out to
for helping me gain a better understanding with my system build. :)
