The spell seems to have worked for Zeeelo after all, but his body is gathering wind aether at a slow rate. Still, the transformation does seem to be proceeding. Looks like the best thing to do is just kill some time and wait for the spell to finish... Though that wasn't the only spell that was still slowly going. Even after the two left the study Calex continued to gradually shrink as Zeelo became gradually more like a carbuncle. They tried to pass the time fishing, which Calex proves to have some difficulties with... But with the paw and fur grown in on his legs and arms, it looked like the transformation was complete. Zeelo had successfully become a Synthesis Carbuncle. Of course, he has no idea how to fight like a carby, but Calex is willing to instruct him when they go on patrol later.
