A talent, that is.
This is mine: Opening a beer bottle with another beer bottle.
It's not much, but it's all I got.
Here's how: Hold the beer you want to open in your left paw. Hold the other
beer upside down in your right paw. Use the upside down beer
bottle cap to pry the cap off the other bottle. Use your index and
middle fingers and your left paw to hold the two bottles
together. A quick downward movement with the right paw and
you've got cold beer, my friend.
OK, I admit this is pretty weak as far talents go. But my dad taught it to me and it was something we could do together...
This is another reason why I ruin so many handpaws...
This submission is for those of you who are of the legal drinking age
only. It is not meant to foster alcohol abuse. It is for entertainment
purposes only. But summer's comin' and you may need this skill
for survival after suiting in the sun all afternoon and discovering that
your pals forgot the opener...

Sometimes, I do drink socially. I dislike beer though...sorry. X3 I'd still have a drink with ya though, if we ever met, long as it wasn't beer. Give me a mixed drink and I'm happy. (Yep...my girliness is showing.)
I don't think mixed drinks are at all "girly"
In fact, I'm a wimp so I just stick to beer.

so this skill has saved me many times.

I was watching an episode of 'Monster garage' where they butchered a perfect early Bronco into a rock crawler. I was so pissed! Jessie James is an ass with no respect for anything,...Or anyone.
And I would love a can of that classy brew right now.
Sounds like your dad was a pretty cool guy.
I've also learned more than my fair share of bar tricks and I sometimes feel like I grew up in a bar. My mom used to own one.

And you are right- there are millions of ways to open
a beer bottle. I have but scratched the surface.
Landshark- yeah I know. I have a friend who loves it,
and I'll drink anything, so I keep it around...
The stuff is actually not so bad IMO, best cheap beer out there.
I heard that beer which comes in clear bottles tends to have a funky taste because it is not protected enough from light (which is why beer is traditionally sold in dark bottles). I believe this to be true even though I could be imagining it all thanks to the power of suggestion.

I've heard the same thing about clear bottles.
Which is why I hate to leave the poor things

I have a hard time with corks- I can never find the cork screw
and end up pushing the cork down into the bottle
Marflebit containers need no help from Dogbomb. Rud manages to open them
quit easily. And then Magnolia hoovers up the mess.
