British biplane for Project '31. Sort of a mix between an S.E.5 and a Gloster Gladiator. 6 vickers .303s, 30s-era engine, early retractable landing gear, water venting for corrosion.

As stated in the descriptor, this one was based somewhat on the Gladiator, though still held to the SE5 in a lot of ways. That and I needed an excuse to give the pilots gasmasks, for dramatic effect. >..>

A steam ventilation line. Due to the atmospheric conditions of Europe in the setting, hot water needs be piped along any mechanical parts to keep them from ceasing up.
