Sir Merovech de Mortain, Knight of the Realm - by Geier
A Sketch commission I got from Geier recently. I was feeling down and what with my birthday coming up I decided to get a little present for myself in the form of another drawing of my knight Merovech, some time after completing his Tour of Errantry and when he finally became a Knight of the Realm and returned home to claim his birthright as the Knight and Protector of Mortain.
I know I've said that I plan on getting a bunch of Geier's sketches neatened up ad 'finished' but I do truly intend that with this one, and I'd like for this to perhaps be one in a 'series' of images; Perhaps showing the transition of Merovech from being a spunky youth with dreams of Knighthood, to his first steps in to the world by himself, maybe even visiting him should he ever decide to quest for the Holy Grail and the favor of the Lady of the Lake? I mean, I might even be interested in an example of him as a Grail Knight, as laughable of an idea as that is given some of his 'conquests'. Or perhaps an image of him after succumbing to the bleakness of his home? Who can say?
