Dang, you beat me to it. Shoulda typed faster, lol.
Also, I noticed that too. Although, I don't think the house type was strictly stated. Maybe it's an apartment or flat or something and that's to conserve space? Or a thing, I guess. I'm in North America, and I don't think I've ever seen a washing machine in the kitchen before either.

It's not entirely uncommon in the states to have your washing machine or dryer in the kitchen. At least not where I'm at. You basically stick the thing wherever you have space.
At the last place I rented, the dryer was in the kitchen and the washing machine was at the end of a hallway.

I mean... that makes sense to me... you can wash your dirty clothes before washing yourself, without having to leave the bathroom. Then you might have clean clothes to change into once you leave the bathroom as well. Makes more sense to put it in the bathroom then the kitchen.
If I may somewhat randomly interject...
The washer in the kitchen is a bit odd to me. Mine's in an enclosed sunroom. In my area of the US, I've seen them about everywhere...basements, utility rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, patios (enclosed or otherwise), or in the grass outdoors. Kitchens and bathrooms are odd, but whatever. I REALLY don't get outdoor washers in my region...for the same reason that basements are common...
I actually didn't know that the washer kitchen combo was a thing in Europe, the house I visited in Ireland had a washing machine and dryer on the second floor, next to the bathroom, on the stair landing.

Actually didn't see the tags, I just follow, but that's rather hilarious. Also, I know other places don't tend to have basements either, but that totally baffles my mind. I've never, ever been in a house that didn't have a basement. Plenty with no upstairs, but always a basement. They're kind of mandatory here to help lock a house into the ground. We get enough snow that if we didn't have a basement, over time the water in the soil freezing and unfreezing would shift the house out of place more and more, and I don't think anyone would be impressed if their house just, you know, slid off without them. XD
But I guess if you don't have one, a kitchen or bathroom would make the most sense for the washing machine as they tend to be wood or tiled floors with access to plumbing already. There is logic in that, I've just never seen it before.

Heehee, that's another of those strange differences about America that always puzzle me. I see TV shows set in apartment buildings in America, and nobody ever has their own washing machine, they're always in a shared room in the basement! That's just weird. Over here, everyone has a washing machine in the kitchen... ^.^
I must say, I had never seen a washing machine in a kitchen until I came to Europe. But in small apartments, I guess it makes sense to have the washing machine's water drain down the same pipe as the sink. I think people can choose to either have a washing machine or a dish washer as both are machines that need a water source and water drain and this roughly 1 cubic metre block of space under the counter is a convenient space for either.
But for me, it was strange the first time I saw it. I thought my friend had come up with a particularly clever but weird solution to having a washing machine in an apartment not built for one. XD

Hi Zee!
Yes, it's been far too long. XD Hope you've been doing well. On my side, I'm doing well. I've been lurking for a while but thought about maybe getting involved in the community again.
Heh. I've gotten used to washing machines in the kitchen now. In North America, they usually are in a washroom. Though as far as I know, flats don't usually have their own washing machines unless they are really large, so I chalk this one up to European clever use of space.

Wow. I don't think I've ever clicked n a page of yours and seen no comments yet. Early bird this time. Poor Star looks so crestfallen in that last panel. Martin, I think she needs a hug, like just a massive never ending snuggle right now.
Anyone else feeling slightly called out on their tidiness skills right about now, or is it just me? The background looks great, the effort definitely shows.

I have so many questions...
1. What's the award plaque for?
2. Are they real axolotl, or just a glowy picture of some?
3. Why is the washer in the kitchen, next to the oven? Does he dry his clothes in the oven, thus saving on an extra appliance but using more energy? (Seems pretty metal to me though!) (Also, saw the keywords AFTER writing it, so it's a legit question)
4. Why is the green bowl under the microwave look like it's puking the other white bowl?
5. Why does one of the fridge note seem to say "Buy chewtoys"? Does he have a teething problem, or is it a real in-universe thing? Maybe he has a species problem, like Dogphoria?
6. Why do I feel like that kettle is the most British thing ever and I'm surprised my mom seems to own the exact same model even though we're in Canuckistan?
7. Why are there dirty dishes on the left side of the sink when all the other ones are on the right, or in the living room? I THINK MARTIN HAD AN ANARCHIST AMONGST HIS PARTYGOERS.
8. Why is Martin so effing sweet and where can I buy one?
Obviously, all in good fun. ;3
Great work, as always. And nice touch on the "we know our kinks but nothing normal about each-other" thing there. Such a weird problem to have that seems more and more common these days. XD

1. It's an AWAD LOL for Worst Newcomer 2014 :D
2. They are real axolotls called Einstein and Tesla
3. Washing machines live in the kitchen in the UK usually. Its a washer drier combo so it also dries the clothes
4. The green bowl is actually upside down. It's actually a nod to a real bowl I own and was given to me by my parents as a leaving home present so that bowl is like....20 years old now
5. It actually says 'Bite less, chew more' that may or may not be explained at a later date :D
6. That's my kettle, it cant be your mums kettle
7. There is chaos, it's all a mess. I would never let random people into my house if it was this much of a mess, but martin clearly can see Stars needs are greater than his house pride discomfort LOL
8. I am trying to clone him but it has yet to be sucessful.

1. That's bad... like, you could say it blows... blow awad... ... I'll see myself out. >_>;;
2. I'm surprised it's not Edison and Tesla, but I still love the names. XD
3. Combos like that exist? Damn. I wish we had those here; never saw one!! That'd make my mom super happy. (I still think saying that he dries his clothes in the oven is totally metal.)
4. But it still doesn't explain why it looks like it's puking the white bowl out! D: But that's still pretty cool a story! When I left home, my mom gave me a set of pots and pans because the ones I was going to buy weren't good enough for me to have in her opinion. X3
5. Duly noted, and will keep an eye out. ;3
6. I thought it was Martin's kettle? DID YOU STEAL IT JUST LIKE YOU STOLE HIS HEART?!
7. Such a galant gentlelion. All the more reasons for point #8.
8. Stop trying and do it. I need a Martin in my life. STAT.

I used to air dry, but in winter it makes the clothes PRETTY stiff...
And even in summer, no matter the amount of softener I use, they are never soft. So I stopped. X3
However, the "they suck" comment doesn't surprise me, and was what I was worried about. OH WELL. XD
Thanks for confirming!!

Totally relate to Star in that last panel. My boyfriend and I met on www.f-list.net and because of that we both knew each other's kinky side before we actually became a couple.
On the plus side, this is easily the best relationship I've ever been in and I trust him more than anyone I've ever known in my life.
On the strange side, I spent my entire life hiding this side of me and it still sometimes feels a bit odd having someone who knows EVERYTHING I'm into in that way.

It’s not the fact that there’s a washing machine in the kitchen that’s the problem... it’s the fact that it looks like the clothes are exploding out of it and still quite soggy given that Star and Martin have been out at a pub for a while...
That’s a good way to end up with some stinky mildewed clothes... eww.

What star was talking about in the last panel is true, the time in the pub was a bit of a twist in that way. That he would start doing roleplay talk, but save the get-to-know you date talk until the very end. It's got an organic feeling to it, like something that might happen incidentally between two people with good chemistry like that.
From what I've read, axolotls don't really need land since they don't undergo metamorphosis into land-dwelling animals like other amphibians. They can go on land, but they don't need to.

Never happened to me either, but one time I did put a bottle of shampoo in the refrigerator. It was when I was 15 or so and I was helping my mom put away the groceries, and I put the shampoo in the fridge thinking it was salad dressing. However, in my defense it was in a very fancy bottle, and it said "Cucumber & Mint" on the label. Sounded like food to me at the time!
Great work on his apartment. I just want you to know that the detail is appreciated. It's often overlooked by most I think but it really helps make things look 'normal'. Set dressing is an often forgotten job but without it you'd think places looked weird with no stuff in the background and no magazines on the table.... It may have taken two days, but it's important. :)
Also great interaction here.
And as for Star's last comment, not so unusual. I've met a bunch of people through 'odd' interests and after we click we get to know each other as we are outside of that interest. It's pretty normal, I think, all things considered. You meet people doing things, you get along, and then you want to know more. :)

Hey you probably don't remember me, but on my last account (logins are hard) I was talking about how you inspire me. Well I just wanted to give an update and say that seeing you maintain this so long has officially not just inspired me in a nebulous concept sort of way, but I've officially started my own ABDL series! It isn't on here (it isn't babyfur, just ABDL) and I'm not going to name drop it because I don't want to be that person advertising but I wanted to let you know that in addition to all the amazing content you've given the ABDL community you have spurred me to try and achieve something similar!
I dunno, it makes sense to me to get the worst bits out of the way first.
Either you frighten them away, or there's nowhere to go but up.
Much better than having someone go out of their way to impress you, and then finding out that in their daily life they're not like that and have grown bored of the novelty of the relationship...
Just my point of view. Kinks are a decent starting point, as long as that's not the only thing they're interested in.

there is a kid in the Washer.. and where is the Tank-less Water Heater.. and no shower stall??.. Of course this is manly because some of the apartment blocks where constructed before flush toilets and even others are actually renovated 18th century homes also they are made out of brick and Morter or concrete.. lots of reasons why you have a cloths washer in the kitchen...
hey have you ever stayed in the red Lion inn in Salisbury.. its the one they filmed the Bar seen from Hitch Hikers guide to the Galaxy in... the guest rooms on the second floor are all mouse-holed on the outside it looks like a row of 3 level flats.. Inside its the guest rooms for the Red lion Inn...
