After having read the earlier story, it's nice to see he actually does make it back eventually. I still need to go back and get completely caught up with the comic, but I like this page. It handles the mixed emotions of the reunion quite well, I think, and makes the green jumpsuit look rather stylish, too. It would be interesting, too, to see how well he integrates back into the shelter's community. Or if he does.
Eventually I'll get around to posting the rest of these. Trying to be consistent is a challenge for me, one I'm still working on.
As with a few of the other comics, this was originally intended to be prose, but a lot of ideas came out of it that have shaped the story since so it works well as a prequel.
Faeseiren did a wonderful job with the expressions, and I love how you can tell that they have a history just from this one page.
