This is my main dragon OC/sona Darkfire whith my other rider sona flying in the fantasy world of Bronel - a planet far far away in a parallel universe where magic is more than common. The architecture you see is a secondary entrance to Levian castle - one of the seven un-evil lairs with their seven kind rulers. Levians are also a whole civilization on this planet - they're mages that seem human, but their soul and blood is half animal - each bearing different kind of animal blood depending on what their spirit animal is. Their powers other than magic is the ability to turn into their spirit animal and even use their animals' abilities when not turned (flying, extreme hearing, eagle eyes, echolocation etc.).
And what about Darkfire? He's a young male dragon with black scales and blue colored membranes (also having them on the sides of his head partly connected to the bottom of his upper jaw), spikes and a pair of slightly curved layered horns on the back of his head. His eyes have a gloomy crimson look and sometimes adds to a terrifying look due to the lack of irises, but this dragon, when in good hands, is quite kind and playful. Even though young, he already has some torn parts of his wing membranes due to his reckless mindset and partial adrenaline addiction, but it's not uncommon among his kind and his wings haven't lost their ability to coordinate in the sky. I'll tell you more about his abilities in a later post where I might even have the guts to depict it in the artwork itself! :D Also, if you are interested in knowing more about this world - let me know in the comments! ^^
Wanted to challenge myself by drawing a full-body dragon and designing some medieval fantasy architecture of my own :3 It was lotsa experimenting with colors and values (which again took the most time out of it xD) but I know that in the long run it will take less time so I stuck to it and voila - karma didn't play any tricks on me with the results :D
