Firewolf is on the ball
Commission for
firewolf66 all completed and ready to go. I have only one other pic to do and I'll ship them all out.
The scanner is on its way out I think. The yellow bars / background are not nearly as bright as the marker original.
Also, soccer balls are HARD to draw. Pentgons and hexagons make up the shape. Had to have a reference and even then it was tricky.
Lastly, the wolf's dark brown fur was just too stark and where body shapes overlap, the edges were not standing out enough. The trick here is to put in highlights. I used white Higgins ink and a 00 brush to put in that highlight. But the white was too bright and didn't quite work. I tried an experiment and it turns out that this particular ink is not sealed/glossy. This means as a flat / porous pigment it can be colored. I ran over the bright white lines with a Copic Sand marker and got a nice subtle highlight. YES! I now have another tool in my artist's toolbox to use. I have some ideas already how to use this in the future.
