A pretty simple concept, as an excuse to practice backgrounds and inking.
I'm a bit worried that it's a bit boring, though; let me know what you think, and whether this is something you'd like to see more of in the future.
Inking's been a big sticking point for a long time in my art, so it was about time I had a think about it.
I'd always been so worried about smooth lines, but I never realized that, not only was focusing on line smoothness not fun, it was also hurting the finished inks as a result. So I've been moving focus towards weight instead, and while I don't have too much to show for it yet, I think it's a lot more manageable and gives better results, imperfections and all.
This drawing's not perfect, there's a few things that don't quite line up, but as a whole I'm still proud of it. As a proof of concept for a different inking method (and for drawing buildings), I think most of it checks out.
Enjoy!
