Here's a pen doodle I did earlier tonight. I thought it looked pretty good with just flat colors but I might try to make a fully digital version without the sketch over top as well. Maybe.

Well, it just takes more work for some people than others I think (as with anything really). Not that I haven't worked really hard at it. It wasn't until about 8th grade or so that I could finally draw a decent looking person. And I'd been trying for years before that!
I've become pretty good at doing things like this because I tend to lose my pencils a lot and then just draw with pen instead. It forces you to not make mistakes; or to hide them somehow. Like in this, the hand and arm that's in the air looked HORRIBLE until I added the glove to cover it up. It's still kinda wonky but definitely 1000 times better than what it originally looked like.
For the 7-8 minutes it took me to draw this, I'm really happy with it! Especially because I only had a vague idea for the pose when I started and I actually ended up with something that looked nice.

7-8 minutes wtf mate o-o
wow you guys are awesome I wish I could be good at stuff like this :D. I unfortunately don't have the patience to draw. It hurts my hands, I get anxious and clam up and get all tourrettes prone when I'm nearing the end of a drawing, and I get this weird icky feeling throughout my body I'll jsut admire from a far ^-^;

O__O That's.. kinda weird. Though I suppose I can understand some of that a little. Like the first time I was asked to do a traditional commission with 3 characters in it I was uber nervous. After the sketch was finally done and I liked it, I started to ink it with Microns. Of course all I could think about was "what if I mess up?!". Which I did in a few places but luckily they weren't horribly noticeable. When I finally got the inking done, I was going to color it with colored pencils but I was way too paranoid to even start.
Needless to say, that was also my last traditional commission. I can draw random characters with no problem since there's less worry about messing something up. It's just much harder and more frustrating when you are trying to draw a specific character in a specific pose for someone else. Or even if you're drawing your own character.
If you're going to AC this summer, maybe I can draw something like this for you!

Going to AC last year was the first real convention I ever went to and it was so much fun! My room mate and I are both really shy and fail at just going up to people and trying to make friends so I know how you feel. Still, if you get a chance to go to one, I bet you'd have a great time! I don't really consider myself a furry and I always thought fursuits were rather creepy but everyone there was really nice!
