I always found myself in awe, whenever he did it. Usually the pouncers would slow their fall with the jetpacks, but Strype, he always came in hot. Maybe he was insane, or cocky. Maybe he was making his peace with death. He never said a word on the way down. Only thing he ever said about his drops was that "If I land safe or dead, I'm going to leave a mark"

the picture is amazing strype as many have pointed out. i am amazed and glad to see such wonderful pieces here on fa. *claps for you* though i need to ask the armor design reminds me of half a dozen different sci fi power armored suits out there. then again you can only modify a theme so much before you start noticing things like this in new pictures. anyway i was curious was there anything that gave you the most inspiration for this?
and I shall cast a vengeance down on my enemies like a fire from the heavens, burning away the impurities with a force so great that even the gods themselves will turn in wonder. They shall look up to the skies and lament in their misdeeds as I cleans the land with the holy fire that I have been granted. As the flames die away and a figure is left standing in the earth, scorched and broken, I will smile and say "It is done.".
Pretty cool, though I can't quite seem to make out just what it is he's holding, especcially with the large end engulfed in the heat/fire of entry. Heh, to be honest, I at first thought he was looking back and throwing his shoulder forward; somehow I saw the shoulder pad as the helmet, like fighter pilots wear. I got it figured out when I took another look at the anatomy. Then, it went from cool, to really cool.
The quotation is the icing on the cake for this piece, and sounds real to me. It actually breathes even more life into it, giving it a backdrop. "Pouncers" is actually a pretty good name to give an aerial/orbital drop assualt team, as I suppose that is essentially what they do. "If I land safe or dead, I'm going to leave a mark", heh, reminds me of one of my favorite game quotes, "I'm probobly dead already, but that doesn't mean I can't take a few scumbags with me." Gotta love your attitude Strype.
