Glyndwr

A couple months ago, I got to thinking about various other types of dragons in literature. Many default to the flying, fire-breathing types, and I got thinking of other, less commonly depicted types. And thus, Glyndwyr was created, a swamp dragon! While his name means 'valley water' in welsh, Glyndwr (pronounced as 'glin-door' because the Welsh are contrary =p) actually is a swamp-dwelling serpent dragon. And also very ancient and wise, seeing himself as a protector of the cycle of life and death in the swamps.
Given Britain's numerous bog bodies from the Iron Age and the belief that swamps were linked to the land of the dead, I pictured a sort of 'cycle of life' deal with him, remaining peaceful and using his powers to create new growth from dead things in the earth. While he is able to control and manipulate the earth, he isn't likely to rescue travellers that find themselves caught in the swamp. Rather, he would offer them condolences and conversation as they sink to their demise, expressing that their life will go on to fuel new growth.Sketch is a reward for being a patron of
