I have to agree. And most employers won't grade on a curve unless they have to, which is usually a bad situation for everyone. It's better for kids to be graded on their own merits and not have things skewed because of one genius or some kid who just really likes to learn, or wants to do well.
Plus, I'm pretty sure it teaches kids to compare themselves to others instead of focusing on their own talents and hard work. That's a recipe for disaster later in life.

Wow so that mountain was split in half by a mage battle in the recent past? And here I thought it was the secret hideout for some nefarious dark mages, or something. I think the facts speak for themselves... It's a lot more unnerving to learn the split mount was the result of a war!
Also Kiela's is something of a sad story indeed. I don't think she should have been treated as such a wild card, outcast by her classmates, peers and teaching staff because she was interested so much with refining and controlling magic use... That's rather bigot of them! I understand it is because of fear... but still...
