There’s actually not a whole lot that I can say about this piece other than the fact that it is a rather rough and raw free-verse that came about as a result of a recent unexpected and most unwelcome haunting of one of those ‘brief-regrets-from-my-twenties-that-I’d-rather-forget’.
Unfortunately, as we all-too-often find out, ignoring and forgetting about things generally doesn’t magically make them go away. So yes, it’s a bitter lesson. Not just to me, I think, but to a lot of people.
