Another  walt46-esque piece. Been sitting on this idea for at least five months.

Today's subjects are the G7 Leaders for the 2016 Summit (aka before things started going to shit): from left to right, US President Barack Obama, British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President François Hollande, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

President Obama is a Thomson's Gazelle (I tweaked the horns a bit to suggest the whitetail deer from his mother's side) and Monsieur Trudeau is a French Bulldog in line with Walt's statements here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/16811482/
Prime Minister Cameron is a stoat in line with his portrayal by  keenyfox here: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/16959852/ (I decided it would work in Walt's framework since Cameron's great-great-grandfather was the Scottish chartered accountant Sir Ewen Cameron KCMG, and there are certainly stoats in Scotland)
As to the others, my species assignations were a bit more arbitrary. I made Frau Merkel a dog because she was portrayed as a canine in  anupap's comic Bruno Rheinbaer, and I settled on a Polish Hunting Dog (Gonczy Polski) owing to both of her parents having Polish antecedents. Monsieur Hollande, I made a Chartreaux cat because his family was presumed to be Dutch in origin- the surname was first recorded in Plouvain in the County of Artois in the 1560s- and much of the old ruling families in the Low Countries used lions in their heraldry (including the House of Flanders, who gave Artois as a dowry to King Philippe II of France on his marriage to Isabella of Hainault). Abe-san and Signor Renzi are both stallions- a bay Kiso for Abe and a dark chestnut Maremanno for Renzi. In Abe's case, he was born in the Year of the Horse, and after Walt's making the Japanese Imperial Family vulpine despite having his character Bernyce Pratt-Wallingford refer to Crown Prince Yoshihito (the Taisho Emperor) as a stallion, I was determined to get somebody in the Japanese Government to be equine. As far as Renzi goes, he was born in Florence, and the Tuscan coat of arms features a silver pegasus on a red field.

Feel free to tell me if there's something I should have done differently in this portrayal. Also, I should note that these are the real-world versions of these statespeople, as opposed to their Spontoon counterparts. Obviously, Obama was present for Rain Island's Proclamation Day in June of the year previous to this summit, I'm sure Trudeau could easily have staged an electoral upset against Stephen Harper in the Spontoon timeline like he did in the real world, Cameron I can see forming a government under Edward IX same as under Elizabeth II (and hopefully not cocking it up), and I have no trouble at all seeing a woman of Frau Merkel's calibre making a name for herself in the German political arena under Kaiser Georg Friedrich (Gräfin von Merkel has kind of a good ring to it). Beyond that, I'm uncertain how this lineup would differ in the Spontoon universe.
