The moment was perfect. A costume party, a couple's costume of Belle and the Beast, all while dancing to a slow, romantic waltz. When the music ended all lights came on Alice and Olage; the saber tooth paying off one of the technicians for the special occasion. Then she got down on one knee.
"Alice," she smiled as the komodo started to tear up. "I have only ever loved one other in life. I thought I would never find that special someone again. Not until you. You're the light of my life. The rock in my crazy ocean of a world. I want to spend the rest of my days with you."
From her back pocket she produced a small, red box. Alice, on the verge of bursting into the happiest sob she ever had, covered her mouth. And then the all important question was asked.
"Will you marry me?"
