Keep going . . . please try to keep it reasonably clean until if and when things "get better", and maybe then you could decide whether or not truly adult oriented material is warranted given the tone of the plotline. (I'm saying this, as a fellow writer.)

It's true...Codiene is a powerful painkiller...you don't need a lot of that stuff to knock your socks off.
This is an awesome comic...I keep waiting for the next page.

Actually a pinched nerve can floor you when it hits. I know two people who were bedridden for a week or more because of it, had surgery, still have problems with it. Codeine ain't nothin'.

Depends on the person and where the nerve is I suppose. My mom's was in her spine.

Belatedly - very much this. I had a pinch in my sciatic nerve, which is the one leading from the spine all the way down the leg.

Pills with codeine weren't even remotely enough for that pain. Antiinflammatories did a world of good, but just codeine? Not even close.

Codeine should only be used for serious pain, but it's not THAT bad when used thus.

Ditto - my husband got put on Loratab :P

But it still makes for a great comic, because you should NEVER take someone elses prescriptions.

I was agreeing with you :) My husband had a pinched nerve and ended up having to get injections for the pain, along with taking loratab.

Oh I know, I was trying to save myself from being a villain for seeming like I condoned taking other people's Codeine lol
My mom has had surgery, is getting another surgery next month, has injections, and takes medication, but the name escapes me. I don't think it's loratab.
This has been going on for 2 years. Fingers crossed the next surgery does something.

Personally, I hope you won't listen to anyone saying that there shouldn't be any sex in this comic because then it would 'ruin' the good story telling. I really have a problem with that sort of attitude, actually.

There's no legitimate reason why good story and sexuality should be mutually exclusive. The only reason it happens is because our culture puts such a huge stigma on sex that the people who make good stories feel afraid of the consequences of including it.

Porno videos tend to be made by sleazy people with little talent not because sexuality is inherently sleazy but because sleazy people don't care about any social stigma associated with it since they're already considered bad people by society anyway. They have nothing to lose. Meanwhile, someone with strong directorial skills won't touch porn because they fear the social stigma associated with it would effectively end their career. Even if it's something they would otherwise want to do.

I refuse the notion that including sex in any way 'reduces' a creative work. And I applaud the relatively few examples out there of highly talented people having the balls to include adult elements in serious works.

I agree with you. And I hope to see some in this comic. Given the content so far, I KNOW it won't be the sleazy kind. And I'm also glad that it didn't happen IMMEDIATELY. There's stuff that leads up to it inevitably, and THAT is what will make it really great when it happens.

Hehe, it gets better & better. I really like the fact that both Reis & Marcus are like brothers to each other that love & care for each other very deeply. I think only time will tell when they will express their love to each other.

I use NO STRUCTURE WHATSOEVER! I don't even write the plot down anywhere. . . it's all just kind of floating around in my head. . . and I go page by page, without storyboarding it out. I'm CRAZY unprofessional!

Yeah, i have a pinched nerve and i'm on Darvocet for it. It's weaker than codeine and less addictive (Though, all narcotic painkillers ARE addictive, and have the ability to be habit forming). Mine was from working at UPS, and i honestly can say, Ibuprofen and Tylenol did nothing at all for me :/ They're not for nerve pain.

i got laughed at in school for taking drugs, people were always making sniffing noises at me and then burst out laughing, i dont do hat shit now but this comic has brought back so many memories... recent memories since im only just out of high school but still. nice work.

It's really rewarding to see such great work. All around, this comic has been wonderful so far.

I didn't even bother commenting for the first 12 pages because this comic is just so interesting! I couldn't stop reading long enough to comment. It took having to get up away from the computer for me to finally be able to take my eyes off of it.

Heh My Doc gave me the same meds years ago when I had a pinched nerve in my back. Codeine is kinda light weight. They used to pass these things out like candy. Hell I have forgot how many times I have gotten them over the years for various pains.

codeine, heavy? 0.0 thats a normal pain killer in Australia. What dosage do they sell them elsewhere? Ours are 13mg, sold over the counter... its panadine forte we're told to watch due to its addictiveness..
