Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 (http://ds.ign.com/objects/847/847024.html) has to be one of the most pointless games I have ever had the misfortune to play. Seriously. I played it out of sheer obligation to my love of the tiny virtual pets, only to discover the game didn't offer anything spectacular at all. The tasks you do are so repetitive and easy to complete it's laughable. This is a product meant for people who want absolutely no challenge in their gaming experience.
And yet I couldn't stop playing it. One of the most confusing sensations I have ever had in my life was the desire to continue playing, while consciously knowing it served me no purpose.
Then I beat the whole game.
In its defense, Tamagotchi Connection: Corner Shop 2 does provide form of simplistic, creative entertainment that's more of a mellow hum than an exciting adventure most games provide. It's something you can chill out and play without using much brain power. Just be warned that it may eat at your soul with little to no reasonable explanation.

Heh, very cute!
I've heard some games are like that. 'ElectroPlankton' is another of those 'just for fun' games.
Still, trying to stab dragon-scales with a ds stylus would be a little hard...

*does not try to steal the DS for fear of lion-biting. That and he has his own, and stealing is wrong*

Far, FAAAARR too many activities have become like this for me.
"I need to stop...
....right after I finish these one or two things.."
*Looks at clock* "THREE HOURS!? That's it, I've GOT to put this damn thing down and DO something....
...right after I get this one more thing done..."
*Repeat ad nauseum*

I'm scared to get that game, and it gets rid of my studying time...>.> Just got DS Lite (black), but I need to study....
...Nah, I'll keep playing Elite Beat Agents & Tetris DS (WiFi). X3
Heh, nice comic. =p Just wondered, have you played Nintendogs? Kind of pointless, but for some reason I can't stop playing it when I had it along fat DS. >.>
