I guess it's because how we see the giant in the distance or high up, but his paws/feet right close to the camera, where the tiny character is, that totally gives the feeling like the giant is in power, and the tiny character is totally at the mercy of those paws/feet, and has no choice but to do as the giant commands, in order to keep him/her happy x3 lol
