Well, like I said, I'm using adobe illustrator, which is like a GOD with the pen tool, provided you can control it well. And by like a GOD I mean it can bless you with great wonders, or smite you with a thousand years of famine and pain. It can also send you to a hell unlike any other. But if you can master it... OwO
And I've honestly never found illustrator easy to use with a tablet. :B Tried it, never liked it (although maybe that would change if I finally get my hands on an Intuos 4 or (fingers crossed) cintiq at some point. Doubtful on the cintiq part. Too expensive those things.

And no, I'm not an all black fursona, just leaving it in shades of grey for now. I think I'll do some lighting passes in color, and then crop it in for composition (looking at it right now makes me want to cry, I totally ignored that side of the art while building it. My anatomy was pretty good for just freehanding it with shapes, if I do say so myself. Not an easy thing to pull off).

Thank you, it does have a very retro feel, particularly in the facial expression (the closed graphic eyes especially.). I miss the days when simplicity was the selling ticket... I think we are back in the MORE MORE MORE GRAPHICS EVERYWHERE phase again. Ugh, like motion typography? I am so sick of seeing that everywhere.
