I have fallen so in love with this movie, I swear.
I got pretty experimental with this. Tried a pic with no black outlines and tried some more realistic bird anatomy. And tried to draw them a little closer to their appearance in the movie. But it's quite difficult to convert a CGI-character into the hand drawn cartoon world. For me at least. But I somewhat did it.

Wanted to draw a cute scene between Kai and Tendai, so why not a pic of them spending some father-son time together? Basically Tendai (the brown falcon) is showing his son (the blue one) that you can have fun without having to risk your life.
The pose was inspired by a courtship flight ritual that bald eagles do, they hook up each other's talons and let themselves fall to earth and fly up in the last moment, most call it the death spiral. I altered it a bit to make it look like Tendai is spinning Kai in a spiral with his foot, and it looks like Kai is having a blast. :) Hope you like this picture.
