You might have noticed me bringing up a ShogunGekomon named Big Matt on my YouTube account. He is generally depicted as being normal looking, using either official artwork or game footage to be represented. The big thing with big Matt is that he has his own theme song where he describes himself as "rump' and fat." As I mentioned in my previous drawing, "rump'" is short for "rumply," and generally refers to divots and body Folds And I generally use it to exemplify a characters ugliness to make them seem more imposing.
... the problem is that ShogunGekomon doesn't have any folds or "rumples." Just random popping veins next to his leg, which I do not get. So, I decided to draw what he probably looks like as an individual because, for some reason, I am not sick of drawing big sumo wrestling monsters yet. Now he has that rumply look that makes more sense to the song.
As a character, he generally has a calm head and Dopey, lovable personality. He generally likes to act as a boss fight for rookie Digimon teams. He also has a group of disciples that he often uses to hype himself up. He usually buys them lots of sushi to make up for having them get their butts kicked by other teams. They often times Wonder why he feels the need to do all of that, but they don't mind battling. Maybe they will get their own day in the Limelight. Lastly, there is a slight jiggle to his body. He keeps it a little loose because he thinks it adds to his jolly, campy personality. Surprisingly, he is smarter than he looks and sounds.
His theme song basically uses sped up sample of Steiners theme from Final Fantasy 9 on Loop, as I wanted something that just fit the big fat jolly guy look. The lyrics go like this.
"I'm Big Matt, all rump' and fat!
I'll crush you flat like bug or rat!
Try this and that against my fat!
Try punch or bat, you won't beat that!
For I'm just that: The Great Big Matt!
Ha ha ha! Haha ha ha!
Ha ha ha hahaha ha haa!"
